Helping Children Thrive Through Outdoor Play and Learning
At Kestrel Mead Primary Academy, our mission is to “be the best that you can be.” We believe in creating inspiring children in the activity that suits them, including outdoor spaces where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Our project has two key elements:
1.Trim Trail for Active Play – A dedicated space to develop balance, coordination, and resilience.
2.Engaging Early Years Outdoor Space – A tactile, nature-inspired area to spark curiosity and hands-on learning.
We have already raised £2042 through our recent fundraising efforts at the school and hope you can help us bring this vision to life.
Why Outdoor Learning Matters
Outdoor play is not just about fun—it plays a crucial role in:
- Building Resilience: Climbing, balancing, and exploring develop confidence and perseverance.
- Encouraging Collaboration: Children learn teamwork, problem-solving, and communication through shared play experiences.
- Supporting Well-being: Fresh air and movement boost physical health and mental well-being.
- Inspiring Curiosity: A rich outdoor environment fuels imagination and a love for learning.
Not only can you donate but also why don’t you come down and support our fundraising events
